No tracking
This guide has no analytics, no error monitoring, no advertising and no third-party tracking scripts. It sets no cookies, has no account, no login and no backend that stores personal data. Everything runs in your browser, and the lists are plain JSON files.
What is stored on your device
The guide uses your browser's localStorage only, under keys starting with tragui-:
- which records you marked as visited;
- your settings: chosen list, starting point (city name), language and theme;
- that is all — no name, e-mail, IP address or device fingerprint is ever stored by the guide.
You stay in control: Export downloads your visited marks and settings as a JSON file, Import restores them, and Delete my data in the menu wipes every tragui-* key from this browser. Clearing site data in your browser has the same effect.
Your location
The 📍 button asks your browser for your location only when you tap it. The position is used on your device to estimate distances and is never sent anywhere and never stored. You can always choose one of the listed cities instead.
Network requests
- The page, the scripts, the icons and the JSON lists are served by the site that hosts the guide (for example Cloudflare Pages).
- The map view downloads the vendored MapLibre library from this site and requests vector tiles, styles and fonts from OpenFreeMap (
tiles.openfreemap.org). Like any web request, that service can see the request (including your IP address) in order to deliver the tiles; the guide itself sends no query, account or identifier. - Source links (↗) and map/directions links open pages or apps outside the guide; those providers have their own privacy policies.
Data sources & credits
- Map data: © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
- Tiles, styles and fonts: hosted by OpenFreeMap; vector tiles built with OpenMapTiles.
- MapLibre GL JS v5.24.0, BSD-3-Clause, vendored in
map/with its licence text (map/LICENSE-maplibre.txt). - City list: place names and coordinates from OpenStreetMap (
place=city|town), ODbL. - Museum, place and event records: compiled from official museum, city, region and event-organiser websites; every record links to the source it was checked against (the ↗ chip).
- Event dates: kept up to date from official organisers; the list year lives in the list name and dates may change — always check the linked source before travelling.
GDPR / KVKK
Because the guide operates without a server that collects personal data, there is no personal data held by the guide that could be accessed, corrected, exported or erased on request. The data described above exists only in your own browser and can be removed by you at any time with Delete my data or your browser's site-data settings.
